Good for payroll and taxes

We signed up for Payroll and Tax Filing Services. Setup was quick. Everything runs as expected. No issues with tax filings so far. It's working out well.

Consistent service over years

We've been using Paylocity for our HR and payroll needs for over three years now, and I'm always impressed with their consistency. This last renewal, we decided to add the Learning Management System and some of the Surveys and Sentiment tools. Like previous implementations, it went smoothly, even with integrating new modules. Their support team has always been responsive, which is a big reason why we keep coming back. It's a reliable platform that keeps evolving with useful features without becoming overly complicated. We also use the mobile app a lot, which is super convenient for everyone.

Payroll and timekeeping are great

I set up Payroll and Time and Attendance for my company a few months ago. It was pretty straightforward, took about 3 weeks to get everything configured. The system handles our bi-weekly payroll without a hitch. Employees use the Time Clocks and Geofencing Time Tracking, which works surprisingly well for our field team. I'm happy with how it's all working out.

Does Paylocity help with tax filings, like all the state and federal stuff? That's a huge pain point for us.

E Emily L. 1 day ago
Oh yeah, they handle all of that. It's one of the main reasons we switched. Takes a huge load off.

For sure. They manage federal and state tax filings. I haven't had to worry about that since we got them.

Hey, thinking about switching to Paylocity for our small biz. Any idea if they do discounts for non-profits?

A Anthony Scott 1 month ago
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they do. My friend's non-profit got a special rate when they signed up last year. Worth asking their sales team.

I think I saw something on their site about that. Definitely a thing. Just gotta ask when you get a quote.

Is it worth trying to get a free demo before committing to Paylocity? What can you actually see in it?

O Olivia Lopez 4 weeks ago
100% yes, get the demo. They'll walk you through the parts relevant to your business, not just a generic overview. Super helpful.

A Ashley Gonzalez 4 weeks ago
Definitely. It's not a free trial you mess with yourself, but they'll show you how it works with your specific needs. Gives you a good feel for the interface.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get Paylocity up and running? We're a medium-sized company, maybe 150 employees.

J Josh 1 day ago
Depends a lot on how complex your current setup is, but for us (about 100 people) it was a few weeks, maybe a month? They're pretty thorough.

I'd budget a month or two. There's a fair bit of data migration and training. Their support during implementation was pretty good though.

Thinking about getting Paylocity but curious about their mobile app for employees. Is it actually useful or just basic?

A Adam D. 4 days ago
It's pretty good! My employees can check pay stubs, request time off, and clock in/out right from their phone. Saves me a lot of questions.

My team uses it constantly. Time clock, pay info, benefits stuff. Seems pretty intuitive.

How does Paylocity stack up against Gusto for small businesses? We're looking for something that's easy to use but has good features.

J Jason N. 1 month ago
Paylocity is definitely more robust than Gusto, especially if you plan on growing. Gusto is super simple for tiny teams, but Paylocity has way more HR features.

I've used both. Gusto is cheap and easy for just payroll, but Paylocity has all the bells and whistles for HR, time tracking, performance reviews, etc. Might be overkill for really small teams but great if you need more.

I'm trying to find a promo code for Paylocity, but I can't seem to find any online. Do they even have them?

J Jennifer 1 month ago
Nah, they don't really do promo codes like a regular online store. You gotta talk to a sales rep, they're the ones who apply any deals or waive fees.

Forget coupon codes. It's more about negotiating with sales. Sometimes they'll throw in a free month or two if you ask.
